Back by popular demand, GCDC will be offering a Fajita Grilled Cheese for the week of Monday, May 2 – Friday, May 6. It will be available during lunch from 11AM-3PM (served with a pickle for $10) and dinner 4-9PM (served with a choice of side for $14).
Marinated chicken, queso fresco, sauteed peppers and onions and a side of Elsi’s fresh green tomatillo.
Also on special are $3 bottle Coronas and $9 Patron Silver for a perfect pairing during Cinco de Mayo.

The winner gets bragging rights about the contest, a free version of their creation, and Grilled Cheese DC donates $100 to Children’s Hospital (Children’s National Medical Center) in his or her name.
GCDC is creating an entirely gluten-free menu for one night only. Already known for offering gourmet grilled-cheese sandwiches on local bakery Goldilocks Goodies’ bread, the extended menu will also serve its popular lobster macaroni and cheese with gluten-free pasta and French-toast dessert grilled sandwiches. Cheese and charcuterie boards will be paired with gluten-free bread and crackers. The current menu includes Crispin Blackberry Pear Cider and Bold Rock Virginia Draft Cider, naturally gluten-free ciders.
Loaves of gluten-free sandwich bread from Goldilocks Goodies will also be available to purchase in time to make gluten-free stuffing for Thanksgiving, Friendsgiving French Toast or personal grilled cheese creations at home. Loaves may be pre-ordered by clicking HERE for $10/each or purchased at the restaurant the night of the event for $13/each.
