Thursday April 12th, 2018 is National Grilled Cheese Day and our Fourth Birthday! “The Young American ®”, our most popular grilled cheese made with our own American cheese blend, tomato, and bacon on sourdough bread will be available for just $4 at lunch with $4 draft beers all day.

It’s a family affair! GCDC will offer our holiday grilled cheese “The Maccabee” inspired by Bruce’s mother, Esther! It has her homemade brisket w/ kosher pickles and cheddar cheese on grilled challah bread. Here she is with Bruce at a Barbara Streisand concert (who she claims to have discovered herself in Brooklyn).
GCDC Grilled Cheese Bar, Washington’s first and only grilled cheese-centric restaurant and bar is going entirely gluten-free for one night only in recognition of our large and loyal gluten-free following. All of our sandwiches will be grilled on bread from DC’s own Rise Bakery, our mac and cheese made with GF pasta, our beer lines replaced with hard ciders from Bold Rock, and Tito’s Vodka—the gold standard in GF distilling will be featured. Rise is baking a special GF dessert as well! It will take place Wednesday, October 25th from 4-9PM at GCDC!
